Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda : "Sesungguhnya pada bekam itu terkandung kesembuhan." (Kitab Mukhtasar Muslim 1480, Sahihul Jamie' (no 2128) dan Silsilah Al-Hadith As-Shahihah  (no. 864) karya Imam al-bani.
